Flash Animation 13: Creating a Simple Preloader
Sunday November 6, 2005
We've gotten our feet wet working with basic actionscripting, but now it's time to dive in completely with a more complex lesson that involves creating a simple preloader: an animation that plays repeatedly or displays a progress bar while the rest of your larger, more complex Flash animation is loading.
This lesson may be confusing for those new to programming, but don't worry if you get lost the first time through. It's just a matter of practice and familiarity; it may seem like an alien language at first, but you just need to get used to it for it to become natural and comfortable.
