Making Your Own Flash Slingshot Target Game: II

Sunday July 2, 2006
Somewhere along the way our little squishies got to bouncing all over the place, while we're stuck in one place--now how is that fair?!  For this lesson we're slowing things down a little bit, as I realize that I zipped by perhaps a bit too fast in the lesson covering setting up the base animations this game.  This time we're just going to focus on one task:  enabling the slingshot to move with the user's mouse, and fire when clicked.  That means--you guessed it--using ActionScripts to enable the movie clip to follow the cursor on rollover, and then jump ahead to play the firing animation when triggered by a mouse-click.
