Easiest Flash Preloader Ever

Friday October 27, 2006
All right, perhaps it's not the easiest preloader to ever exist on this planet, but it's a simplified version of the old preloader lesson that's been on this site for about a year now. A few people have had problems understanding that one, so I thought I'd break down a new, easier one that just requires a couple of if statement comparisons and three frames to make it work. No fancy tricks, no complicated scripting. I'm using the Halloween Doll that we completed last week as a basis for it, since it's a fairly large Flash file when published - but you can add it to any movie that you need to. Click here to view the lesson.

Alternately, just to view the preloader and then play with the full-sized version of the doll, click here.
