Deconstructing the Paint Application II: The Brush Tool and the Flash Drawing API

The second lesson on deconstructing the oekaki/paint application details the brush tool and its cursor, and introduces createEmptyMovieClip and the Flash Drawing API. Combining the two lets you write a script that causes Flash to paint lines of the chosen color, thickness, and opacity whereever the mouse is dragged when the brush tool is active, allowing for freehand drawing.
