Royalty-Free Music and Sound Effects Resources for Animators

Friday July 27, 2007
While we're on the topic of freebies, let's take a look at some great places to get free music, loops, and sound effects for your animation. While it may seem a simple thing to just rip an MP3 from your favorite CD for background music for your animation, increasingly stringent copyright enforcement may cause some problems for you if you use it without explicit permission from the artist and their recording company.

Why not avoid that entirely and use royalty-free music and sound effects from one of this list of sites? Many sites offer thousands of free downloads, with little cost other than attribution/credit - and if those don't have what you need, there are even more pay sites out there with inexpensive audio tracks for use.
