3DSMax utilities are actually plugins to the program, and can be accessed via this panel to accomplish various useful tasks. (I don't use them often, personally, but for your benefit at some point we will skim them and their uses.)

And that's it. There'll be one more (Lesson 1.4) after this, on the actual animation toolbar at the bottom of the screen, before we get into real modeling and animation in Lesson 2.
