Demo Reel Faux Paus
And the Last Coverall....

By Adrien-Luc Sanders, About.com

Offensive/Insensitive/Hateful Content
Last but not least, we’ve got this coverall that is pretty much a no-no no matter where you go. I’m not saying that you have to be perfectly politically correct; a little light-hearted irreverence can be clever and playful and can make you stand out as someone with a touch of much-needed wit.

However, avoid content that is targeted towards deliberately offending any particular demographic, whether it’s based on culture, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics, disabilities, or any other common factor that defines a particular group. Learn to know the difference between entertaining humor regarding those subjects, and actual hateful content that could hurt or offend others through degrading stereotypes, perpetuation of falsehoods, or even outright promotion of acts against those demographics. It’s immature, it’s cruel, it’s unacceptable, and it most certainly won’t get you hired.
