Flash Tip: Smoothing and Straightening

I don't know about you, but even with a graphics tablet I can't draw a smooth line or fill to save my life - especially in Flash. Flash compensates for clumsy drawers like me, though, with the Smooth and Straighten option. Located at the very bottom of the left-hand toolbar, these two buttons do exactly what their names indicate: smooth and straighten selected lines and fills.

To be more specific, the Smooth option reduces the number of vector points in any drawings curve, using the minimal number necessary to approximate the same curve and thus smoothing the edge. The Straighten option tries to turn curves into straight lines whereever possible. The degree of either effect is determined by how many times you apply it; each time smooths or straightens a little more.
