Changing ActionScript Versions in an Existing Flash Document
Although you would normally specify the version of ActionScript you use in your document when you create the new document, you can also use the Publish Settings dialogue to change the version in a document you've already created and been working in.

To do this, open File-->Publish Settings from the menu. Click the Flash tab. There's a dropdown menu that says "ActionScript version." Click it to expand it, select your version, and click "OK." This will change the version used when the file is published.
