Coloring Detailed Flash Artwork

I decided to start with my wings first, because I created those on a separate layer so that I could animate them later. One thing that I love about Flash is that I can change my line colors so easily using the Ink Bottle Tool and the Color Mixer Panel; I’m not restricted to solid black lines, or reduced to spending hours tweaking opacity, playing with selections, or attempting layer overlays to color just my lines without coloring everything else. Just a few clicks of the Ink Bottle Tool, and I’ve got pale aqua outlines, semi-transparent with the opacity lowered to contribute to the overall translucence of faerie wings. Using the bright, pale lines with a darker fill makes them seem to almost glow.
