Brush Tool Options

To start with, select the Brush Tool, and then pick a base color for the flesh tone (or whatever you’re animating; although I chose a human, for all I know you’re animating a sleek silver android). I’ve turned on the Use Pressure option on mine, because I use a pressure-sensitive graphics tablet; that way I can just set the brush size to the largest size, and then vary the size using differing pressures rather than having to stop to switch to a smaller brush size for smaller detailed areas.
