Drawing Your Eye II

When finished, my eye looks like this: a base layer with the white, the white’s shadow, and the tear duct (because although your stage is white for the symbol, when you carry it over to your main movie the flesh tone will show through unless you actually paint in the white), another layer laid atop that for the eyeball, and then two separate layers on top of that for the upper eyelid and lower lash line. It’s a little “maybe it’s Maybelliene”, but the color matches the shadows of the eyes.

If your eyes are going to be close to the brow line, you may want to consider not adding the upper eyelid and instead just doing an upper eyelash line, because it may overlap poorly and create blocks of color where they shouldn’t be.
