Converting Stars to Symbol and Scattering, Gradient Background

Use the Free Transform tool to scale your star down to a more appropriate size, and then repeat the steps followed with the windows: convert it to a graphic Symbol, and then copy it onto your canvas repeatedly by dragging and dropping multiple instances and placing them where you want them. When you’re finished, you should have a completed backdrop scene.

I’ve also decided that I don’t like the solid blue background, but instead want a gradient shading from darker blue to mid-blue from top down, so I’ve used the same methods covered to create other objects in this scene to make a new color backdrop. As a challenge, try it for yourself and see if you can change your sky backdrop to a gradient. (Here’s a hint: I used the Fill Transform Tool, to the right of the Free Transform Tool, to get my gradient aligned properly.)

Now we can move on to create a few different instances of fireworks to populate our scene.
