Flash Animation 3: Fireworks E-card
Next I’m going to set a three-color radial gradient fill for my first fireworks burst. Selecting a default Radial from the color mixer, I can then click anywhere between the two color blocks to create a new color block. I’m just picking any random set of bright colors, for now; red, violet, and golden-orange.

Draw your fireworks in the way that you prefer. To keep up with this lesson, once we get to the animating stage, try to at least keep some kind of circular shape to follow along. I’ve just drawn mine as a series of overlapping, downward-cascading arcs; you’ll notice that the gradient applies to each of the arcs individually, instead of as a group. You’ll need to be careful with that when drawing this sort of thing.

Now we’re going to make another copy of this, but for right now do not convert this to a symbol to make duplicate instances as we had before. We’ll be making a new kind of symbol out of these when we animate them in the next lesson, but for right now we need them to stay as individual shapes.
