Adding Animation to a Flash Popup ToolTip

After you’ve resized your first frame, right-click between the first and last frames and select Create Motion Tween. Although your text isn’t necessarily moving, Flash will still see the difference between the first and last frames, and make it appear to be expanding although there’s no shape tween applied. (Note: this isn’t foolproof and sometimes it works as a hit-and-miss depending on various factors in your animation. If you want to be sure it will work, break apart your text until it’s down to solid fills, then use a shape tween.)
