Creating Easy Flash-Style Tooltips

Exit the movie clip’s editing stage to return to the main stage. Right-click on the (now invisible) movie clip, and select Actions. Insert an on (rollOver) function, to start the script that will display the tooltip when the mouse cursor moves over the active area.

What we’re going to do is tell Flash to toggle between the two states that we set up in the two frames of the tooltip’s movie clip: the state in which the tooltip is visible on frame two, and the state in which it’s absent on frame one.
