Flash Tip: Layer Folders

Introduction

Using layers on your Flash timeline can be very useful to keep objects separated for editing, but once you start to build up multiple layers, those layers can actually become a hindrance simply by their sheer multitude. Naming them can help, but it can still be hard to keep them organized and tell what’s where.

That’s where Layer Folders come in. The Layer Folder icon is the third one from the left on the bottom of the Timeline panel, below where your layers are displayed. Layer Folders allow you to put your layers into collapsible, stackable groups.
