"Squashing" the Bouncing Snowball

With the ideas of squash and stretch in mind, we want to cause our ball to squash with each bouncing impact, to show both the weight of gravity pushing it down and to show the force of impact with the earth pushing back up on it. (Plus bouncy things are just fun.)

On the first keyframe, I've used the Transform tool to select my snowball and scale it down vertically until it's squashed. Now the great thing is--that's all I need to do. I don't need to make any more tweens, or any further edits to it; because it's not a regular symbol, it's going to tween its shape on its own as the timeline progresses to the next keyframe, where it's still perfectly circular.
