Flash Animation 26: Flash for Web Design: Video Playback

For the Pause button, we're still sticking to familiar territory, but used in a different way. We've used stops before, but we've used them by placing them on a specific frame so that playback automatically stops when it reaches that frame. This time we're going to insert a stop that's only activated when the button is clicked, thus stopping playback immediately without being limited to a specific, preset frame:

on (release) {
doorknobpage.stop () ;
}

Now, when the Pause button is clicked, the playback will instantly freeze as Flash enacts a stop on the current frame of playback.
