Flash Tip: Mute Sounds

By , About.com Guide

Details

Ever been working on an animation detail and, every time you scrub your timeline, the sounds you have on it start driving you mad from constant repetition? Sure, there's the easy option of just turning the sound off on your computer, but I, for one, prefer to have a media player open in the background while I'm working, and I'd rather not cut out my music just to avoid letting constant sound effects drive me insane.

So just mute Flash's sounds, easy as pie. Go to Control->Mute Sounds, and you'll be rid of those pesky sound effects. And when you need them again, just rinse and repeat.
