Flash Tip: Optimize Curves

Introduction

You’ve probably noticed when working with Flash’s vector paths that, even when you draw a simple curve from point A to point B, Flash has a tendency to insert extra points that may not be necessary to describe the angles or curves in your shape (which is hopefully more appealing than the random scribble that I threw up for demonstrative purposes).

You can Optimize your shapes with an automated tool that Flash provides to reduce the number of vector points in your shape. To access this too, click on Modify->Optimize.
