Flash Tip: Paste Special

Paste Special lets you paste objects/clipboard items from outside of Flash--say, if you’ve copied something from your Word clipboard, or a Photoshop clipboard, but don’t want to have to save it as a file and then import it into your library (or for some reason can’t).

For my example, I’ve decided that I want to paste a copy of my WinAmp playlist, so I’ve taken a screenshot of it by bringing up the WinAmp player and then pressing Alt+Print Screen on my keyboard to take a screencapture. To paste a screencapture into Flash, click Edit->Paste Special.
