Flash Tip: Shape Hints

Move it to a point corresponding with the position on the first shape. Again, using the example of the eye—if the same eye is now in the lower left, where before it was in the upper left, move the Shape Hint to the lower left over the eye. This will tell Flash that these specific points match up on the morphing shape, and will change how it interpolates the shape change.
