Flash Cursor Spotlight Revisited II: Masking

The Masking layer must be directly above the layer that you want to mask/hide; when you change the layer type, it will automatically associate itself with the layer beneath. At first it will only mask one layer, but don’t worry, you can fix that later.

Right-click on the layer that you want to act as the mask, and select Mask.
