Flash MX Effects: Text Outlines II

By , About.com Guide

1 of 6

We’ve looked at one way to create text outlines in Flash--now here’s a faster, easier way to add an outline to your text. The only down side is that your text is no longer an actively editable text object; in order to change or add letters, you would have to either start over--or else create new fills and position them to append or replace yourself.

To start off, open Flash and use the Text Tool to draw a text area on stage, and type in a few letters (they don’t even have to make sense if you don’t want to).
