Retracing Detailed Artwork in Flash

Don’t forget that you are allowed to cheat and make use of all of Flash’s tools, not just the Pen Tool. For example, I used the Rectangle Tool for the square belt details, then rotated the squares with the Free Transform Tool to fit at the proper angle. Then I used the Oval Tool to create one of the rivets on the belt, before copying a second one, aligning it into a row, and shrinking it down a bit for perspective--before copying both of them and pasting the pair all along the length of the belt.

I’ve also added more detail on the seam of the jeans; after drawing the solid-line seam with the Pen Tool, I copied it, then pasted the duplicate just a little below the original before changing the line style to a dashed line for a “stitched” effect.
