ActionScripting Basics: Using setProperty

Drill down to Actions->Movie Clip Control->setProperty, and double-click to add the script. An onClipEvent(load) will automatically be created to contain it; you can adjust the onClipEvent to whatever parameter you choose (I usually prefer Mouse Up).

There are three parameters that must be specified for the script: Property, Target, and Value.

Property determines what about the movie clip will be modified when the trigger action takes place; Target specifies the instance name and level of the clip that will change. Value will be the value of the changed property, however it will change from the default. This may vary depending on which Property you choose from the dropdown.
