What you’ll want to do is break the image apart into pieces with irregular, interlocking shapes; you may have trouble making the appropriate selections in Flash, so I’d suggest doing this in Photoshop or another program that has a lasso selection tool. (It’s just my personal experience that it’s hard to get selections to behave properly using Flash’s lasso tool.) Regardless of which program you’re using, copy the selections to new layers, making sure that they don’t have any kind of background edging them.
