From the article: Should Gory or Sexual Imagery be Included in an Animation Demo Reel?
With animation expanded from "kids' stuff" into the realm of adults, it's come into question: should you limit the content of your demo reel to family-friendly only? Is it safe to include gory, ultra-violent, or sexual material? Share Your Opinion:
Viewer discretion advised
- If the nature of the work will be "expanded" then there's no reason to exclude your best work from it, even if that best work includes adult material. A "content advisory" might help keep it out of sight of an overly sensitive reviewer. As has been mentioned before, the contents must match the style of work being sought, though.

Its a double edged sword...
- If what you consider your best work is "adult" in nature, you'd have to judge whether or not its appropriate for whoever is receiving the reel. Perhaps two reels would suffice? One with "G" rated material and the other with "adult" undertones. One to Fluffy Bunnies Inc and the other to AxeMassacre.com

Absolutely
- I believe it is appropriate to have adult material in an animation demo reel.
