I firmly believe the iPad is not a tool for animators, and have clearly stated my reasons why. Can you think of other reasons? Or do you have a compelling argument for why the iPad is in fact a good tool for animators? Share Your Thoughts:

The iPad is now almost fully capable of being an effective tool for animators. Check out an app called AnimationDesk. Also, try using the iPad stylus with this app. It pretends to detect pen pressure, but it is a great way to practice animation without all the paper, broken pencils, and time wasted scanning images individually.

Why ipad is good for creating Animations

(Disclosure my company wrote the app I'm about to talk about) The DoInk Vector Animator proves that the iPad can be great for creating animations http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/doink-vector-animator/id364762290?mt=8 It is a full featured animation package for the iPad. It is a vector based & includes a number of advanced drawing tools (Bezier editing, transform) & enables 2 types of animating: 1) flipbook style; 2) "Flash like" with key framing. Animations are rendered out on the iPad direct by spitting out H264 video, the Apple supported HD movie file format. Creations can then be shared on the Web, YouTube, Facebook & Twitter. Animation on iPad? YES!

Try Animation Studio from miSoft! It'll change your view of using the iPad for Animation! You'll be amazed. Find it on the iTunes App Store!

Yes

Ipad is not suited for animators or anybody who works on graphic arts as you cannot install any OS app. It is just a big Iphone, no more than that. Kinda disappointing actually..
