ActionScripting Basics: Check Syntax

The Output Window opens behind the Actions pane after you run Check Syntax, though you can also access it by clicking Window->Output or pressing F2. Here you can see any errors that Flash encountered in your ActionScript, detailed by the scene name, the layer that the error occurs upon, the frame number, and even the line number of your code--after which it finally tells you what the problem is, and displays the code causing it.
