Flash Tip: Program Tools: Text Tool

For basic use, you can use the Text tool to place text in your Flash movie as a vector object--though unless you're using common fonts or breaking your text apart into shapes, you may need to embed your font in your movie so that it will display on all computers.

To place text in your scene, just click where you want it to appear and type in the box that appears. You can click and drag the upper right-hand corner to expand the size of your text box, which will also determine how your text will automatically wrap to fill the space.
