Flash Tip: Collapse to Icons / Expand Dock

By Adrien-Luc Sanders, About.com

One of the many ways to maximize space in Flash CS3 and higher is to collapse the right-hand dock of tool panels. They can be collapsed to little more than graphical icons, and then expanded again to show the full sets of tools. You'll find a small button at the very top of the dock area: a grey bar with two right-pointing arrows. If you click on the arrows, the tool panels will compact to icons. Clicking them again (they'll be pointing to the left now) will expand them again.
